Truly Grateful

One of my very best friends had surgery yesterday and she's really weak. All prayers are needed. Thank you. Her health hasn't been all that great since she takes of her husband who's disabled. Yes, she's guilty, as am I, we forget to take of ourselves when others are so important to us. This lady I couldn't do without. She has been there for me even after she patiently gives the same advice to me over and over again. Always with a smile or maybe a tear in her eye. I Love her very much. Thank you again.

I also had a conversation with my mother -in-law yesterday. She has been very good to me even when I didn't want it. LOL Yes there was - how should say it---tension and a lot of it at times. Not anymore. We've become good friends and can laugh together now.....my relationship with my mother will never be fun or trusting and that's ok. I now have her and I'm very grateful. I've learned that no matter what happens with those we love the most- They are people we love and so we love them. PERIOD.
She gets up so early because she can't sleep and bakes cookies!!! When she's all done she sits down with her coffee and decides who she hasn't seen in a while and so she delivers them with a smile on her face.. I love her very much...

I found this quote one day and saved just for the perfect post. I think I found it.

There never was a heart truly great and generous
that was not also tender and compassionate.

Have a wonderful evening everybody.....Kae

I'm sorry to hear that your relationship with your own mom is strained and at the same time, I'm happy that you have a good relationship with your mother-in-law. Usually it's the other way around, huh? :)
